Terras de Tavares 2003
Grape varieties: Jaen (50%), Touriga Nacional (35%) and Rufete (15%)
Spontaneously co-fermented with extended skin contact and no temperature control. Not fined or filtered. Maceration for 2 weeks, aged in stainless steel for 6 months. After that it aged 18 months in old French barrels, bottle aged in cellar ever since.
Silky texture, earthy, dark cherry, tobacco. Still very powerful fresh and lively.
